Our Certifications

  • NSF/ANSI 455-2 Certification Logo

    NSF (GMP) Certified

NSF is a global organization dedicated to public health and safety. To be NSF certified, supplement manufacturers must submit to regular on-site inspections by NSF professionals whose quality standards are high and uncompromising. Nutra Connection maintains current Good Manufacturing Practices and is NSF certified!

  • Logo of SQF (Safety and Quality Food) with a globe, a heart, and a swoosh design.

    SQF (GFSI) Certified

The SQF (or “Safe Quality Food”) certification is recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative as the standard for food and supplement safety. SQF audits supplement manufacturers quality practices across the entirety of their supply chain: sourcing, handling, manufacturing, etc. Nutra Connection strives for excellence in all of our business practices and is SQF certified!

  • UL (RCP) Certification Symbol.

UL Certified: RCP (Retail Certification Program)

UL inspected our facility and determined that Nutra Connection maintains current Good Manufacturing Practices for the manufacturing, packaging, and warehousing of dietary supplement powders.

  • Oregon Tilth Certified Oregon Icon

Certified Facility for Organic (Oregon Tilth)

Nutra Connection received their Organic certification from OTCO (Oregon Tilth Certified Organic), which is accredited by the USDA. We strive for quality, and we meet the OTCO’s strict organic standards!

  • SSCI Certified

Nutra Connection received its SSCI certification after being evaluated by SGS. This certification is required for Walmart & Sam’s Club private brand dietary supplements (and is commonly accepted by other major retailers, such as Amazon). SSCI affirms that Nutra Connection maintains cGMP for the receiving and storage of raw materials used in manufacturing. It also affirms that we maintain cGMP for the production, storage, and distribution of powder stick packs, powder capsules, and powder in gusset pouches or canisters as dietary supplements.

  • Kosher Certified (Orthodox Union)

There are lists of specific foods that are not Kosher, but even if a desired ingredient is not on that list, your product won’t be Kosher if manufactured or handled incorrectly. Nutra Connection has a Kosher certification from the Orthodox Union, which means that the equipment and processes we use meet Kosher requirements.

  • Certified Gluten-Free

Earning a Gluten-Free certification requires a third party to review ingredients, audit manufacturing processes, and verify safety standards. Supplement manufacturers undergo regular audits in order to maintain their certificate. Nutra Connection has a Gluten-Free certification!

  • GMP Certified

The “Good Manufacturing Practices” certification verifies that a company has met the safety and quality standards outlined by UDAF (the Utah Department of Agriculture & Food). This certification requires a supplement manufacturer to be registered with the FDA and have their personnel, equipment, facilities, sanitation, and more be audited regularly. Nutra Connection is GMP certified!

Certified quality that you and your customers can trust.

Ensuring the Purity of Ingredients Through Responsible Sourcing & Raw Material Testing

Nutra Connection is registered with the FDA and relentlessly pursues quality at every stage of the supply chain. We source our ingredients from trusted suppliers, and then samples of all incoming raw materials are sent to third-party labs for testing.

The quality of your products and the safety of your customers are important to us, which is why we don’t just take a Certificate of Analysis at face value. Assuming (rather than proving) that the natural ingredients you receive from suppliers match their label and are safe to consume is irresponsible. By their nature, natural ingredients are susceptible to degradation and contamination. When applicable, current “Good Manufacturing Practices” mandate that all raw materials undergo Identity and Microbial testing. At Nutra Connection, every raw material we source* and receive into our facilities is sampled and sent to a third-party lab for these tests. Our clients can order additional quality tests as needed.

*For customer-supplied raw materials, a Vendor-Supplied COA showing Identity, Microbial, and Heavy-Metal testing results must be attached. As part of our quality practices, we also sample these incoming raw materials and send them to third-party labs for Identity verification.

Identity Testing

Just because a bag is labeled "Turmeric" doesn't guarantee that’s what it contains. Checking the identity of incoming raw materials, regardless of their label, is an important practice that ensures the accuracy of your final product. Manufacturers like Nutra Connection partner with third-party laboratories to verify the identity of all incoming raw materials before using them in production.

How does this help your brand?

Identity testing can help you deliver an accurate product that matches your label description, protecting your brand from the negative impact of distributing an incorrect (and potentially unsafe) product.

Microbial Testing

Natural ingredients are susceptible to microbial contamination, especially if proper storage conditions are not maintained. While microbes aren’t uncommon in nature, they have no place in a finished supplement. Our third-party lab partners screen for harmful pathogens to ensure every batch is clean and shelf-stable.

How does this help your brand?

Microbial Testing can help you prevent unsafe (contaminated) products from being sold under your brand name, protecting your customers and your reputation.

The Bottom Line

Sourcing quality ingredients from trusted suppliers is essential to manufacturing pure and potent products, but verifying the identity and quality of those ingredients is a necessary precaution that protects your customers and your brand. Relying solely on the previous provider’s paperwork can be a dangerous gamble. Give yourself a safety net by partnering with quality-conscious (GMP-certified) partners who verify the identity and safety of their raw materials before using them to manufacture your product.

Quality at Scale: High-Capacity Powder Manufacturing and Co-Packing You Can Trust

Nutra Connection’s manufacturing and co-packing services are scaled for brands or distributors who need help keeping up with product demand. Our state-of-the-art equipment efficiently maintains high-volume outputs without introducing quality issues.

Bulk Blending

Scaling a powdered product isn’t as simple as “doubling a recipe” at home. The process of blending powders in bulk can introduce factors such as heat and compression, which can harm the integrity of your formula if not handled properly. Successfully mitigating these risks and blending a uniform mix requires advanced equipment and the expertise of a large-scale manufacturing partner. We believe your 1,000th customer deserves the same experience as your first, which we ensure by producing a homogeneous blend that delivers the same flavor profile and active ingredient ratio from one product unit to the next.

Whether your current production partner is too small to keep up with your scaling business or whether your current contractor’s large-scale blending services are delivering inconsistent results, Nutra Connection is ready to take on your high-volume manufacturing project! Don’t let “hot spots” (clumping of active ingredients in a mix) or inconsistent flavoring lay the groundwork for consumer distrust, regulatory/legal issues, and product recalls. If your brand is scaling, choose a manufacturing partner who treats blend uniformity as a science, not an afterthought!

Co-Packing for High-Volume Projects

If increasing your production output is decreasing your efficiency, then it is time to find a high-capacity manufacturer who can handle your volume at scale. Nutra Connection’s advanced packaging equipment is specifically designed for high-volume production. Whether you are filling stick packs, capsules, bags, or otherwise, our co-packing services are ready to deliver market-ready products quickly and accurately. Don’t let low-volume operations stifle your growth. Scale your production with Nutra Connection, your SQF-certified co-packer!

Scale Your Product With Confidence

Nutra Connection provides the technical expertise and state-of-the-art infrastructure you need to scale your production effectively and accurately. Tell us about your project to get started!
